Enable HT on CentOS 6.4 (Dell R720 64 Bit server)

Hi,

I have HT Feature available on my Dell Server R720. Please help me
understand if HT is enabled on the server, will there be a performance
impact. What are the deciding factors to enable HT on the servers.
