I missed the beginning of this thread - why are you looking at ECDSA?

Personally, I'm unfamiliar with it... but we are required to use PIV cards
at work, and for those poor folks on Windows, we have putty-cac on their
machines, which works just fine. <http://www.risacher.org/putty-cac/>
