Error with yum and mirrors in 4.2

this is an invalid URL. there is no /centos4/ did you modify the 
CentOS-Base.repo file ?

the correct baseurl= line should look like this :

baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/updates/$basearch/
