Apparently the generated code is not correct.

Every so often someone is told to avoid distro versions of avr-gcc,
e.g., at http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=997350&highlight=avrgcc+patches#997350 Clawson wrote:
