After that, I uninstalled the 'fluff'. --------------------- yea, that is the way I am going to have to go. However, I have done at least 8 installs like that. I got rid of some fluff and the system never came back on....just hung. I assumed if you messed up the gnome somehow, it would revert to command line..however, that is not possible with centos6 it appears.
