newer ZLIB and ZLIB-DEVEL

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings,

I have need of a newer ZLIB and/or maybe the ZLIB-DEVEL.

I need 1.2.2 or later and was told to go to www.zlib.net

On that site, it mentions...

zlib for Linux, both shared and static plus headers (RPM format, many
architectures)

so what I am wondering is this,

is there a new ZLIB coming down the "upstream" pipe now or quickly?

if there a specific YUM command to snag from another repository(ies) that
you and the developers trust?

if not, which one should I grab from www.zlib.net that will not cause me any
future problems with "yum" or any other situations etc?

TIA and regards,

 - rh
