Information on additional CentOS repos is available at http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories Pay attention to the reference on yum-priorities. And vsftpd doesn't have even half of the features that proftpd offers. So it will be a fairly complicated migration if you go that way. Marian
