[Centos] sendmail and root

Sendmail normally logs its activities in /var/log/maillog. There 
should be a record of any sending/receiving/delivery in that file:

   grep root /var/log/maillog

If that fails, there's a slight chance it got recorded in the main 
system log:

   grep root /var/log/messages
