[Centos] CentOS 4 and vncserver problems

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just installed centos 4 on a home built P4 machine. The video card
is a nvidia 5900. I installed the nvidia drivers and everything was
going along well. When I try to start vncserver though, I get errors:

Mon Mar 28 07:56:49 2005
 vncext: VNC extension running!
vncext: Listening for VNC connections on port 5901

Never had this problem on my other 2 centos boxes, so I am guessing it
has to do with the nvidia driver. I tried changing back to the
generic nv driver in /etc/X11/xorg.conf but to no avail. I am using
the version 4 of vnc, vnc-4.0-x86_linux.tar.gz.

anyone else run into this or knows what might be wrong?
