For those who cares, I've compiled the e2fsprogs-1.36-1.3 found in the
rawhide repository (
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/SRPMS/e2fsprogs-1.36-1.3.src.rpm
).

The resize2fs tool is back and seems to perform well !
