[Centos] USB/Firewire drive status in centos 4?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

The CentOS 4 release notes say:

"The initial release of CentOS 4 does not support USB hard disk
drives. However, other USB storage devices, such as flash media,
CD-ROM and DVD-ROM devices are currently supported."

Has this been fixed already? I just plugged in a 200 gig drive that
was formatted on a Mac and it not only saw the drive but automatically
mounted it as hsfplus and dropped an icon on the desktop with the
name used in the Mac setup. If it isn't fixed, what kind of problems
remain?

Also, is write access safe on hsfplus format?
