--------- Johnny Hughes -} -} -}If you have CentOS-4 on the machine, you might try booting with the -}kernel in CentOS Plus installed. It has all the kernel hardware modules -}turned on ... if CentOS-4 can detect it and has a drive for it, it -}should find it then. -} thanks. i can move files around pretty easy of course. so i take it you want me to go to the plus directory on a mirror and snag a certain kernel? no prob. since i havent recompiled and/or installed a kernel for a looong time (some 1.2.13 and 2.0/2.2 stuff i think), can you point me to instructions on how to do this properly.. i.e. download kernel file and install and setup properly. this is a / and /boot scenario. regards, - rh
