It will be 3 ... or in yum.conf, $releasever ... like this:

http://whatever.xxx/xxx/centos/3/addons/$basearch

or

http://whatever.xxx/xxx/centos/$releasever/addons/$basearch

from now on ... 3 will be the $releasever, and will be the latest
version.
