Sure.

That make sense. But wouldn't it be enough to have a special
quote at the beginning of the subject like
[Centos] [ANNOUNCE]
[Centos] [SECURITY]
so that filtering could satisfy anyone.

I am not sure that more mailing lists will help to be a community. IMHO.
