If you plan on accessing this machine remotely (ssh et al), you
should have at least 1 user. Remote login as root is really not
recomended.

You also might want to create local users in the future for
a number of reasons.

I safe bet would be to have a 50M /home. It should not impact you
overmuch, and gives you a measure of safety for the future.
