Unfortunately, it doesn't provide the
authentication/authorization aspect that he needs.  He'd need
a 2nd server for that.

But if he doesn't mind setting up 2 servers, a CentOS + FDS
7.1 server and an OpenFiler 1.1 server would be a nice combo.
