I have a friend that took a "Linux" course at a local community college
and the book they used was "Linux Administration Handbook". From what
I've seen it seems to be a reasonably good book that covers the three
major "flavors" of Linux .... Redhat, SuSE and Debian. If your looking
for a more user oriented book it may not be quite for you though, but
teaches the concepts and covers the differences among the various
flavors.
