I'll take a look and see if I can reproduce, then fix the problem. -Johnny Hughes On Wed, 2004-06-02 at 02:56, khaled fawzy wrote: > dear sir; > i am using centos 3.1 on a test server . i install oracle 10g and it works > fine . > but after installing a patch for oracle i have the following error : > > error while loading shared library /etc/libwait.so > can't open shared file > > and after rebooting i have the same error plus " kernel panic " > so is there any thing that i can do to get my system working ? > and from where can i get the aproperate oracle patchs for centos ? > thanks in advance . > khaled > > > _______________________________________________ > CentOS mailing list > CentOS@xxxxxxxxxxx > http://www.caosity.org/mailman/listinfo/centos --=-52C5xSjDnXCR6FsA5Rev Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 TRANSITIONAL//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; CHARSET=UTF-8"> <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="GtkHTML/3.0.9"> </HEAD> <BODY> Official Oracle patches can be obtained (if you have an account) from metalink.oracle.com and are not a function of the OS, but are a function of oracle.<BR> <BR> You would install any patches that are applicable for RHEL 3.<BR> <BR> What was the name of the patch that you installed and where did you get it?
