Hmm?

Cannot be. Or you broke your system (or something else did). But it
probably wouldn't be running then:

| /lib/ld-linux.so.2
| [admin@www1 admin]$ rpm -qf /lib/ld-linux.so.2
| glibc-2.3.2-95.27
| [admin@www1 admin]$

If vmware really tries to request "ld- linux.so.2" (with the space in
it), then vmware is seriously broken.
