I'm sorry I didn't see this thread on time, could have saved some people 
some time. To resize guests you can use virt-resize from the libguestfs 
suite:

virt-resize --expand /dev/vdX /vg0/lv0 /vg0/new_bigger_lv

That will resize the partition and the filesystem on it.
RH is paying a full-time developer for libguestfs, we might as well use it.
Use the latest version:
http://people.redhat.com/~rjones/libguestfs-RHEL-6.3-preview/README.txt
