Alain is offline (and has been for two months or so). Up to then he
normally found the time to update the spanish translation, as pages were
changed or sometimes newly created.

No idea if any of the people who began creating the spanish translation
together with Alain still reads here. Luis, are you still here? Hardy?

That depends. If the original only changes in wording and/or there are
some language issues, I don't see it that way. If the translation
enables the reader to do at least basic groundwork while the original
page has added content to that, I don't really see a problem either.
