CDC Analysis of the H5N1 Bird Flu Virus From California Child   CDC posted a technical spotlight with an analysis of the partial genomic sequence of the virus from the H5N1 bird flu infection in a child in California confirmed by CDC on November 22. An analysis of short fragments of the HA and NA genes indicated that the virus was a clade 2.3.4.4b A(H5N1) virus similar to viruses causing outbreaks in dairy cattle and poultry in the United States.  Learn More

This resource not only shows how this virus could spread, but also provides important information on personal protective equipment (PPE).
