Influenza Disease Burden & Severity Assessments for the 2024-2025 Season

CDC has released the first of the 2024-2025 influenza (flu) season burden estimates and severity assessment. CDC estimates that as of November 16, there had been at least 430,000 flu illnesses and 5,600 flu hospitalizations so far this season. Flu activity is still low at this time in the United States, so there’s still time to benefit from vaccination this season.
