Vaccine Code Set Updates – Details
1. New NDC Consolidated Crosswalk Table Added to CDC’s IIS Data Code Sets Website
Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) have been added to National Drug Code (NDC) records after outreach and verification with each vaccine manufacturer to determine the correct GTIN number encoded in the 2D barcode. GTINS are only added for those NDC Units of Sale (UoS) and Units of Use (UoU) that are 2D barcoded to enable scanning. The NDCs shown below are listed as UoS/UoU pairs.
