Notes from the Field: First Locally Acquired Dengue Virus Infections

In October 2023, the Pasadena Public Health Department identified dengue in a symptomatic patient with no recent travel history. Subsequent epidemiologic investigation of the surrounding neighborhood identified an asymptomatic second person with infection.
