Following the pandemic, Vaccines for Children (VFC)-eligible adolescents no longer have higher human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination coverage compared to non-VFC-eligible adolescents.
As of December 2023, coverage with at least 1 dose of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine among adolescent girls aged 13–17 years in the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands ranged from 58% in Palau to 97% in the Northern Mariana Islands.
The Vaccines for Children program has provided lifesaving vaccines at no cost to eligible children for 30 years, yet gaps in vaccination coverage remain.
