Firearm Storage Behaviors

Among all eight states in the study, adults who reported a firearm was kept in or around the home ranged from 18% (California) to 51% (Alaska).

• Migration from Epi Info to District Health Information Software 2 for Vaccine-Preventable Disease Surveillance

  Since 2022, 29 countries in the WHO African Region have fully implemented Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) reporting using District Health Information Software 2, and eight countries have adopted both IDSR and case-based surveillance packages.

• Notes from the Field: Toxigenic Corynebacterium ulcerans in Humans and Household Pets

  Health officials in Utah and Colorado investigated two confirmed cases of C. ulcerans.

• Notes from the Field: Rapid Linkage of a Salmonella Livingstone Outbreak to a Restaurant, Using Open-Ended Interviews and Patient Purchase Histories

  A total of 11 cases of Salmonella Livingstone were linked to a local restaurant, which was closed in a timely manner.
