More than 400 people were exposed to measles, including 13 children younger than 12 months. Outbreak Linked to Morel Mushroom Exposure During March–April 2023, 51 people reported mild-to-severe gastrointestinal illness after eating at the same restaurant in Montana. Morel mushrooms were found to be the likely source of illness. Notes from the Field: Surveillance for Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children Although MIS-C cases have greatly decreased since the start of the pandemic, there was an increase in monthly reported cases in the fall of 2023, following increases in COVID-19 activity.
