Release Notes: This release includes updates for all vaccine codes and maps, but does not include codes for Vaccine Information Statements (VIS).
General Note regarding this release: Codes with “Last Update” dates after July 26, 2023, and before August 23, 2023, reflect the changes and additions in this release. This release includes the following code set updates:

Vaccine Code Set Updates - Details
1) RSV Minor Code Updates
General – All RSV codes: CDC’s IIS Data Code Set webpage includes a downloadable table “Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Codes and Crosswalks”. This table includes both vaccine and monoclonal antibody codes that have been added to the vaccine code sets for Fall 2023. This can be found at IIS Data Code Sets | CDC
RSV Nirsevimab monoclonal antibody codes updated: The following minor updates have been made to the code sets and to the RSV Codes and Crosswalk table cited above.
- CVX Code 307 description and NDCs for Beyfortus have been slightly modified: Dose descriptions now read as 1 mL instead of 1.0 mL in order to be consistent with standards used for pharma dose presentation. This change has been carried through to all references on the NDC description and unit of use presentation. The corrected information is shown below.

3) Other Vaccine Code Set Updates
- GTIN codes added to NDCs. GTIN codes represent confirmation from the manufacturer that their product has a 2D matrix barcode on the label that can be scanned. The GTIN aids with association from a scanned label to the associated vaccine codes.
