Two U.S. Human Infections with Flu Viruses from Pigs Reported for 2023 This week, CDC reported the first two human infections with flu viruses that usually spread in pigs to be detected in people during 2023. These infections both occurred in people exposed to pigs at different fairs in Michigan and were caused by different subtypes of swine flu viruses.
