Prevalence and Characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder Among Children Aged 8 Years — Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network, 11 Sites, United States, 2020 This report describes autism spectrum disorder (ASD) prevalence and characteristics among children aged 8 years from 11 the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Network sites in 2020. For 2020, one in 36 children aged 8 years was estimated to have ASD.
