CDC COCA Call: 2022-2023 Seasonal Flu Testing and Treatment While SARS-CoV-2 and RSV are Co-Circulating

During a Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity (COCA) Call on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM–3:00 PM, CDC will provide an overview of recommendations for health care providers about flu diagnostics and the use of antiviral medications for the 2022-2023 flu season as other respiratory viruses are co-circulating at increased levels. New Study Shows Benefits of Flu Vaccination During Pregnancy

A new study reports that pregnant women who got a flu vaccine during pregnancy had a lower risk of certain negative birth outcomes, including fetal death. Flu vaccine coverage among pregnant women in the U.S. has fallen in the past two seasons leaving more pregnant women at risk from flu. As flu activity is picking up, now is a great time to get vaccinated against flu.
