NGS Quality Initiative Introduces Redesigned Web Page and New Resources

Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is a powerful diagnostic and surveillance tool that allows for analysis of genetic material from people, plants, animals, viruses, bacteria, and other organisms. Medical technicians sequence genes from patients to help healthcare providers determine a risk of genetic diseases or identify the source of an infection.

The NGS Quality Initiative provides customizable, ready-to-implement resources for laboratories that can be used as a foundational quality management system (QMS) or to improve an existing QMS. To improve accessibility to resources, the Initiative has updated its QMS Tools and Resources web page with search functionality and filters that produce results specific to your laboratory QMS needs.

The redesigned web page makes it easy for your laboratory to find resources with filters to select by sequencing platform, laboratory role, QSE, and your QMS status or with a keyword search. New products are also now available, including resources for NGS equipment selection, inventory management, and implementation of bioinformatics tools and software. Use the search functionality and download resources to strengthen the quality and reliability of your laboratory sequencing results!
