Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report 

CDC's Influenza Division compiles and analyzes information on influenza activity year-round in the United States. According to this week's FluView report (November 21 – November 27), influenza activity remains low in the United States.

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is December 5-11 

NIVW is an annual observance in early December to remind everyone 6 months and older that there’s still time to get vaccinated against flu to be protected during the upcoming winter months. NIVW materials are available for others to encourage vaccination among people who haven’t gotten their flu vaccine. Visit CDC’s NIVW Digital Media Toolkit page for more resources and information.

Influenza Risk Assessment Tool (IRAT) – Virus Report

Experts from CDC, Food and Drug Administration, and Agricultural Research Service used the IRAT to update the assessment of the pandemic potential of avian influenza A(H5N6) viruses from clade 2.3.4.4b., to emerge and to cause public health impact. Since 2014, Avian H5N6 viruses Have been detected in 52 people.
