Join CDC for the 2021 NFID Influenza/Pneumococcal Disease 

News Conference  

Thursday, October 7 from 9:30–10:30 AM ET, CDC and NFID will host a news conference to launch the 2021-2022 flu vaccination season. Dr. Rochelle Walensky will present flu vaccine coverage data from last season and an expert panel will reinforce the importance of flu and pneumococcal vaccination—especially this season, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Advance registration is required for this event.

Thursday, October 7 from 2:00—3:00 PM ET, CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics will co-host a COCA Call: 2021–2022 Recommendations for Influenza Prevention and Treatment in Children: An Update for Pediatric Practitioners. During this call, subject matter experts will discuss strategies providers can use to improve, prevent, and control influenza among children this season.
