Contact Lens Awareness

When cared for properly, contact lenses can provide a safe and effective way to correct your vision. In fact, more than 45 million Americans wear contact lenses. However, wearing contact lenses can increase your chance of getting an eye infection—especially if you do not care for your lenses the right way.

West Nile Virus

Summertime means mosquitoes and West Nile virus (WNV) season. A bite from an infected mosquito can make you or a family member sick. In the United States, cases are reported from summer and continue into fall.

Hurricane Preparedness

You can’t stop a tropical storm or hurricane, but you can take steps now to protect yourself and your family.

Genomics

Your genes, behaviors (such as exercise and eating habits), and environment are all factors that affect your health. The goal of precision health is to protect your health by measuring these factors and acting on them.

Back to School

Many students, parents, and school staff are eagerly looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year and a return to school routines. Supporting and promoting mental health is important to overall student health, but also to academics.
