WEEKLY REPORT

The figure is a visual abstract describing that COVID-19 rapid tests are inexpensive and fast but sometimes give incorrect results.

Performance of an Antigen-Based Test for Asymptomatic and Symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 Testing at Two University Campuses — Wisconsin, September–October 2020

Compared with reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing, the Sofia antigen test had a sensitivity of 80.0% and specificity of 98.9% among symptomatic persons; accuracy was lower (sensitivity 41.2% and specificity 98.4%) when used for screening of asymptomatic persons.

COVID-19 Stats

The figure is a line graph showing COVID-19 incidence in the United States during March 1–November 14, 2020, by age group. In June, incidence increased in all age groups, with the most rapid rate of increase and highest overall incidence among young adults aged 18–24 years.

QUICKSTATS

The figure is a bar chart showing that during 2015–2018, 84.4% of adults aged ≥20 years consumed breakfast on a given day, with the percentage increasing with age, from 76.6% among adults aged 20–39 years, to 86.4% among adults aged 40–59 years, and 91.6% among those aged ≥60 years. A higher percentage of women consumed breakfast compared with men among all adults ≥20 years (86.5% versus 82.0%), those aged 20–39 years (80.0% versus 73.2%), and those aged 40–59 years (89.4% versus 83.3%). No significant differences were observed by sex for adults aged ≥60 years (90.8% women and 92.6% men).

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The figure is a photo of a person holding a child’s hand on a hospital bed with text about free CE credits on clinical characteristics of patients with acute flaccid myelitis (AFM).
