A preview table of COVID-19 Vaccine Codes and Crosswalks has been posted in anticipation of potential vaccine availability under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). These codes will become effective if and only when the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorizes use of COVID-19 vaccine(s) under an EUA.

 

The downloadable table is available on the CDC website vaccine code sets page.

The codes and crosswalk for candidate COVID-19 vaccines will be posted for preview in phases as the late-stage clinical trials for candidate vaccines progress. Additional vaccines will be added to this list as they enter late-stage clinical trials.

 

The codes for these vaccines will also be included in the next full release of the vaccine code set files which are planned for the second week of November. At that time, if the AMA COVID-19 CPT codes for these vaccines are available, they will be included in the CPT to CVX crosswalk downloadable file.
