Pregnant Women Need a Flu Shot

A new CDC study finds that flu illness during pregnancy may result in an increased risk of pregnancy loss and lower birthweight, underscoring the importance of flu vaccination during pregnancy. Flu vaccine given during pregnancy helps protect both the mother and her baby from flu. CDC recommends pregnant women receive a flu shot during any trimester of pregnancy.
