Tornados

To stay safe during a tornado, prepare a plan and an emergency kit, stay aware of weather conditions during thunderstorms, know the best places to shelter both indoors and outdoors, and always protect your head.

New ASD Numbers

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) continues to affect many children and families. Services and support are critical now and as these children grow into adolescence and adulthood. More needs to be done to ensure that all children are evaluated as soon as possible after developmental concerns are identified.

Living with FASD

Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs) are disabilities that last a lifetime. Children with FASDs can have behavioral, intellectual and neurological problems. FASDs can occur when a developing baby is exposed to alcohol during pregnancy.

Spring Weather

Spring weather can be unpredictable. When severe weather hits unexpectedly, the risk of injury and weather-related death increases, so planning makes sense. Prepare for storms, floods, and tornadoes as if you know in advance they are coming, because in the spring, they very likely will.

In the United States, there have been 239,279 confirmed cases of COVID-19 detected through U.S. public health surveillance systems in 50 states and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

CDC is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus.
