Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention 

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 8. As you prepare to set your clocks ahead one hour, remember to check the batteries in your carbon monoxide (CO) detector. If you don’t have a battery-powered or battery back-up CO alarm, now is a great time to buy one. More than 400 people die each year in the United States from unintentional, non-fire related CO poisoning.

In the United States, there have been 164 confirmed or presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 detected through U.S. public health surveillance systems in 19 states. There have also been 49 cases of COVID-19 reported among people repatriated to the United States.

CDC is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus.
