Release Notes: This release does not include updates for Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) codes and maps. A separate set of release notes and files are prepared for VIS code updates and will be distributed in a separate release cycle.
General Note regarding this release: Codes with “Last Update” dates after August 1, 2019 reflect changes and additions in this release and include the following code set updates:
1) CVX / Vaccine Group Code Updates:
- CVX Code to Vaccine Group Association Change: CVX 195 – “DT, IPV adsorbed” is a non-US Vaccine. It is now mapped to the following vaccine groups: POLIO and Td (“Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids adsorbed”). This represents a change from the prior release where it was incorrectly mapped to the Vaccine Group DTAP and POLIO. The Td vaccine group is the closest correct equivalent for the Diphtheria and Tenatus (DT) vaccine components. We apologize for any confusion created by these changes.
2) CDC Product Tradename/CVX/MVX Table Updates:
- Product Afluria Quadrivalent Added: A new product, “Afluria quadrivalent, preservative free, pediatric”, has been added to represent the new pediatric .25mL dose. It is mapped to MVX – SEQ (Seqirus), and CVX 161 “Influenza, injectable, quadrivalent, preservative free, pediatric”
3) NDC Code Updates:
