Release Notes: This release covers updates for Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) codes and maps only. A separate set of release notes and files is prepared for the Vaccine CVX and associated code updates.
This release includes the following VIS related updates:
Nine new VIS document editions have been added to the CDC website as of 8/15/2019. The edition status of the associated prior edition for each has been set to “historic”.
The following three VIS download files have been updated on the web site on 8/22/2019 to reflect the changes as of 8/15/2019:
The new VIS Documents are shown below for reference, along with the prior document edition they replace. It should be noted that the VIS Document Type Description has changed for some of the VIS documents in this edition. The comparison to the prior edition VIS Document Type Description is shown in the table below. In the files, each new VIS has a new document “VIS Fully-encoded text string”, an Edition Date of 8/15/2019, and an Edition Status of “Current”. The previous Edition Status has been set to “Historic”. Current and previous editions retain the same GDTI document code. The URLs remain the same across editions.
