Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

According to this week's FluView report (Apr 14-20), seasonal flu activity decreased in the United States and is below baseline for the first time in 22 weeks. Five states are reporting widespread flu activity. CDC estimates that flu has caused as many as 42.4 million flu illnesses, 630,000 hospitalizations and 59,500 deaths so far this season.
