Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (Mar 3-9), seasonal flu activity slightly decreased in the United States. Thirty states experienced high influenza-like illness (ILI) activity. CDC estimates that flu has caused as many as 29.3 million flu illnesses, 394,000 hospitalizations and 35,500 deaths so far this season.
