Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (May 6-12), seasonal influenza activity remained at levels below baseline in the United States. Arizona and Puerto Rico experienced low Influenza Like Illness (ILI) activity levels.

Pandemic Flu Fighter: Lisa Koonin
Dr. Lisa Koonin is deputy director of CDC’s Influenza Coordination Unit (ICU), which operates within CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). In this vital role, she and her team work with groups across the agency to coordinate CDC’s pandemic flu planning efforts.
