Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (April 29 - May 5), seasonal influenza activity remained at levels below baseline in the United States. Arizona and Puerto Rico experienced low Influenza Like Illness (ILI) activity levels.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 1918 influenza pandemic that swept the globe in what is still one of the deadliest disease outbreaks in recorded history. CDC is working with its public health partners to address remaining gaps, increase our pandemic preparedness, and stay ahead of the next pandemic.
