Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (March 25 - 31), seasonal influenza activity decreased in the United States. Two states (Alaska and Virginia) experienced high Influenza Like Illness (ILI) activity levels.

2016-2017 Flu Season Burden Estimates
CDC estimates that influenza vaccination during the 2016–2017 influenza season prevented an estimated 5.29 million illnesses, 2.64 million medical visits, and 84,700 hospitalizations associated with influenza. CDC released a report underscoring the benefits and improvements needed in the current vaccination program.
