Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (December 24-30), seasonal influenza activity increased sharply in the United States. New York City and 26 states experienced high Influenza Like Illness (ILI) activity levels. Puerto Rico and nine states experienced moderate ILI activity.

Health Advisory - Influenza
The CDC issued a health advisory due to the significant increase in influenza activity over recent weeks in the U.S., with influenza A(H3N2) viruses predominating so far this season. The health advisory was issued to advise clinicians that high-risk patients with flu should be treated with antivirals.
