Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC Influenza Division collects and analyzes information on influenza illness year-round in the U.S. and produces FluView, a weekly surveillance report. According to this week's FluView report, seasonal influenza activity is low overall but increasing across the U.S. for the week ending November 4. Louisiana & South Carolina experienced moderate ILI activity, while six states experienced low ILI activity and 42 states experienced minimal ILI activity.

Medscape: Flu & Older Adults
Did you know? Adults ages 65 years and older account for more than half (50%-70%) of all flu-related hospitalizations and even more (85%) flu-related deaths. Medscape and CDC released an article describing the importance of older adults getting an annual flu vaccine.
